Ian formed Grow My Revenue to pursue his passion of helping others to define their market position and enhance selling and business development to achieve success. An experienced and successful CEO of software and professional services companies, Ian always made time to answer questions from other CEOs and entrepreneurs about how they could achieve similar results.
Ian spent his early years selling and delivering management consulting and technology services to Fortune 500 companies and government agencies. After being a top producer for several years, Ian started his own technology consulting company in 1993.
As a small business, Ian quickly landed large, long term clients like Chubb and Son Insurance and Glaxo Smithkline (at the time SmithKline Beecham). He introduced innovative solutions to early adopters in industries where people thought early adopters did not exist. Ian quickly found himself in the top half of Deloitte's Wasington Fast 50. Seeing an opportunity, Ian formed a commercial software business to complement the professional services company. He earned a US Patent in 2004. A trusted IBM software partner, the company's software earned several international industry awards including Best Industry Solution and the IBM Lotus CTO Innovation Award while being a winner or finalist repeatedly for an entire decade.
Ian sold his company to an intellectual property company formed by investment bankers. The Board quickly asked Ian to serve as the Managing Director of the overall entity where he led a program that established new distribution channels in China, India, Europe, The Middle East, and The Americas. Through that process, Ian gained specific expertise in global expansion. Under his leadership, the company raised $10+ million in private equity, revenue increased, and the share price grew ten fold in one of the worst economic times in history.
Ian lives in the Maryland suburbs with his wife and two children. He has volunteered his service on various nonprofit Boards. Ian was honored as one of Boardroom Magazine's Top 21 Club Presidents in 2009 for his service to Lakewood Country Club.
